The Malaysian Association of Hong Kong was established more than 25 years ago by a group of Malaysian professionals residing in Hong Kong. Today, we have about 1,000 members comprised of mostly business and professional persons. We hold weekly gatherings as well as many special events.

We are a group for all Malaysians residing in Hong Kong, who have formed a society to encourage fellowship among Malaysians, promote Malaysian culture and values and generaly to have fun. If you are Malaysian, or if you would like to know more about Malaysia, we look forward to meeting you at one of our weekly gatherings.

ANNOUNCEMENT - 11th May 2012   It is with great sadness that we learned of the sudden demise of Jack Ong on the 10th of May 2012 who had been a very active and supportive member of Malaysian Association Hong Kong and had also served as legal advisor to MAHK in certain years .   Jack Ong's brother has this afternoon arrived Hong Kong from Taiping, Malaysia to attend to the Estate of Jack and funeral matter. As soon as the funeral service arrangement is finalised we shall put up another announcement at our web site for the benefit of members who may wish to pay the last respect and bid farewell to an old friend. In the meantime, on behalf of MAHK, our Chairperson Judith Yew is assisting Jack Ong's brother in every possible way. REMINDER TO MEMBERS TO RENEW THEIR MEMBERSHIPS OF MAHK FOR THE YEAR 2012 and NOTICE for the Closure of Register of Members of MAHK.

1. Please be reminded that your 2012 membership annual subscription for renewal ( Ordinary members at HK$200, Associate members at HK$250 ) is overdue as at 30th Jan 2012 if you have not paid the relevant fees. Kindly send your cheque made payable to "Malaysian Association of Hong Kong” to be sent to P.O.Box 13271, General Post Office, Central, Hong Kong to reach MAHK on or before 2 p.m., Saturday, 14 April 2012.

2. The Executive Committee of MAHK has for the sake of good order, at its last Exco Meeting on 20th March 2012, decided not to accept any application for new membership until after conclusion of the 35th Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 19 April 2012. Please be reminded that only those Ordinary Members who have renewed their memberships on or before Saturday, 14 April 2012 by 2 p.m. as stated above will be permitted to vote or speak (subject to Meeting Procedures) at the Annual General Meeting.

3. All currently valid and paid up members (ordinary and associate) of MAHK are invited to a buffet dinner at the same venue after the Annual General Meeting.

Members of the Malaysian Association meet every Friday at the Lobby Lounge of the (5-Star) JW Marriott Hotel, Pacific Place between 6:00 and 9.00 pm. Everyone is welcome. There is NO happy hour, if Friday falls on a public holiday.

Drinks cost about HK$80 (including tax and service charge).

How to Get there by MTR:
Get off at the Admiralty station on the Island line. Take the Pacific Place (F) Exit. Ride the escalators in Pacific Place to the upper floor and look for the sign that marks the main entrance for the JW Marriott Hotel. Go to the lobby lounge and ask the waitress for the Malaysian Association.
